Oggi lascio la parola a Lucio Attinà, direttore della Community Ducati, per qualche informazione sul WDW2007.

Today I let Lucio Attinà, Director of the Ducati Community, write for you about the WDW2007.

Cari ducatisti,

vedo che siete “carichi” quanto noi!

Siamo perciò lieti di darvi qualche notizia in più.

La quinta edizione del World Ducati Week si terrà da giovedì 28 a domenica 1 luglio 2007, e sarà, come auspicato da molti di voi, al circuito Santa Monica di Misano: mare, sole, divertimento e soprattutto tanta, tanta passione rossa!

Siamo tutti al lavoro per definire il programma, naturalmente sarà l’apoteosi del Desmo con i piloti, esibizioni in pista,i nuovi prodotti, e ancora musica, cibo e divertimento assicurato per tutti.

Alcuni di voi si sono preoccupati del fatto che in quel week end ci sarà la gara di GP di Assen: tranquilli, i piloti del team Ducati MotoGP dopo la gara (che vedremo tutti assieme sabato con un maxi schermo) ci raggiungeranno a Misano con un volo privato per passare la domenica con noi.

Continuate a sognare il vostro WDW e a mandarci le vostre idee; i vostri suggerimenti per noi sono preziosi!

Dear Ducatisti,

I see you are as enthusiastic as we are and so we are happy to give you more information!

The fifth edition of the WDW will take place from Thursday June 28th through Sunday July 1st 2007 and will be organized at the Santa Monica racetrack in Misano, Italy: sun, beaches and above all lots of red passion!

We are all working very hard to make the plans for the event, it will be the top of the Desmo passion: riders, track, new bikes, music, food and lots of fun for everybody.

Some of you were worried about the fact that on that weekend there is also the Assen GP race. Don’t worry, Ducati GP riders will join us after the race (that we will see on a maxi screen on Saturday) and spend the whole day Sunday with us.

Please don’t stop dreaming of the WDW and keep sending us your ideas; your advice is so precious to us.

Season’s Greetings to all. Start your engines: the WDW is near!

Ribadisco:
–possibilità di provare la 1098 in pista…senza sovrapprezzo oltre al biglietto di ingresso e prenotazione solo per un turno a testa (20 minuti)
–Prezzo del biglietto ingresso per un giorno max 20 euro…lo yamaha fest era 15euro.
–possibilità di comprare abbigliamento/carene/accessori in generale con sconti maggiori rispetto agli Store
–menù “politici” e pranzo al SACCHEGGIO a prezzi popolari
–possibilità di comprare le moto a prezzi da occasione, che a fine WDW sono state usate per le prove clienti (compreso 1098 in pista)

…se mi vengono altre idee riposto

Siccome c’è pure la pista da motard…perchè non far provare l’hypermotard in quella pista???
Forse la gente lo spacca…mmmmmm :-( meglio un circuito attrezzato nel parcheggio con prove di agilità…sì…forse meglio

Concordo con Lady Ducati, possibilità di uscire e entrare velocemente…farà caldo!
Fate intervenire anche produttori di special bike come NCR.
Turni in pista organizzati anche per chi non ha una moto da pista (io ho una MTS), magari provando la 1098 o anche le vecchie 749 e 999 (ho ripreso il concetto detto sopra).
Mi piacerebbe vedere il montaggio da zero (o quasi) di una 1098 o altra Ducati. Magari permettendo ad uno o più fortunati di aiutare!

what do you need for a good party?
Lots of ducati’s, good beer(belgium), food(real italian), tires ( to burn and to ride), service(maintenance, repair and tuning), fancy wheels, fancy parts(carbon,titanium and special paint), some good music, but as tastes varies a rock corner, a latin corner, a blues corner and for the last corner some modern stuff.Good weather(should be no problem), mechanic seminars, electronic seminars, track seminars and just outside the track a stand for the high-way police where they show what stupid behaveour does to bikers (ride safely), as a last idea a shop where you sell reprints of old posters, blue prints and what ever that keeps up the myth of ducati.

Un’altra idea: INSENATECI A REGOLARE IL GIOCO VALVOLE! non è difficile, è un procedimento da dieci minuti…bisogna smontare mezza moto, ma l’operazione è facile da spiegare e far vedere.

For those of us that can’t make the trek to Italy - a video capture of the event streamed from the Ducati website would be amazing. Perhaps even some live camera feeds placed at various locations that stream at different times throughout the event? How about footage to give the flavor of Misano? Restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc? Finally, some video of Ducati clinics - service, customizing, technical analysis from the engineers on components of the bikes (how about a technical peek of the GP7 machine?)
Anything that helps bring the experience of WDW to the tens of thousands who can’t be there in person. Now, that would be excellent!!

Minoli come piu’ volte chiesto…. vogliamo maggiori notizie sull hyper e vero che arrivera ad aprile… pero c è gente che ha gia’ lasciato la propria moto in vendita… e non sa nemmeno cosa costera’… secondo me non è bello che nemmeno i concessionari abbiano risposte e non sappiano niente di certo neanche loro…. io quasi tutti i giorni guardo il sito per sapere e veder qualcosa in piu ma c è sempre la vecchia foto….

Bella idea quella di Sandro! Corse e spettacolo insieme, sarebbe veramente un fine settimana rosso Ducati. Poi potrei finalmente vedere le special più belle, quelle che scendono in pista.

Suggerimento : che sia alla portata di tutti , specialmente quelli che risparmiano giorno dopo giorno per comprare una Ducati.
Sono un 2 Valvolista da sempre , ammiro la Desmosedici e la 1098 ma lo zoccolo duro siamo noi che veniamo dalle Supersport e gireremo con l’Hypermotard .

Vedo che in tanti stanno chiedendo di far correre il Ducati Challenge in occasione del WDW: è inutile nasconderlo, per noi piloti sarebbe il massimo!

Non sono un pilota ma l’idea di vedere finalmente dal vivo un vero paddock, con le moto e i meccanici, mi fa godere. Da una parte lo spettacolo, dall’altra la moto smontata o pronta per scendere in pista. Sarebbe l’apoteosi, come dire… una sintesi perfetta sul mondo Ducati.

Si sa , il nostro cuore è rapito dal tuono Ducati e quale occasione migliore per sentirlo se non quella di disputare una gara DDC nella splendida cornice del WDW….quando nel ns.DOC ne abbiamo parlato abbiamo dovuto distribuire dosi massiccie di ….calmanti! comunque i brividi dell’emozione non sono ancora passati.
Una grande decisione degna di un grande appassionato!!RENDETE VERO QUESTO SOGNO

Secondo me, a completamento di una manifestazione che per noi ducatisti rappresenta l’apoteosi per la nostra passione rossa, sarebbe bellissimo poter assistere ad una gara del desmo challenge.

Il corollario ideale al WDW sarebbe sicuramente una prova del Desmo challange dove potremo ammirare tutte le realizzazioni più o meno legate alla serie…….oltretutto sulla “nuova” pista di Misano!!!!

In effetti oltre alle prove delle moto e ai turni in pista sarebbe bello poter far vedere come si può correre con quelle stesse moto che si comperano dal concessionario. Come? Naturalmente portando al WDW una tappa del DesmoChallenge dove persone Normali (e non piloti professionisti…tranne qualcuno:-)) ) corrono con moto pressochè Normali e si divertono alla grande… Pensateci..

Ho partecipato alle precedenti edizioni del WDW, e devo riconoscere che l’idea di vedere una gara del Desmo Challenge in quella cornice, sarebbe una variante d’incredibile valore. Molti di noi vedrebbero delle moto ducati di appassionati che on sono piloti, ma che fanno di tutto per rendere il loro sogno DESMO , vero!

Come pilota del desmo challanger mi auguro che la gara da effettuarsi nella prossima stagione a Misano sia in concomitanza del WDW guadagnandone così sia in immagine che in divertimento.

Dear “Mr. President” Minoli,
bearing in mind WDW 2007 will surely be an unforgetable event for all Ducati fanatic around the world, I would not see any better appointment during the racing season to show how fast & furious the Italians Ducati Desmo Challenge pilots are.
I would seriously take into consideration the possibility to join the available dates of end of June/1st of July, to included in the program event a round of the 2007 D.D.C.
In that case, I would personally there, and I can promise you we will give our best to show all Ducati fans around the world what the best bike in the world can do in a circuit. Live, and not on a megascreen !

Ready to start our Desmodromic engines, we wish you a great 2007 !

Sad that WDW was cancelled, but nice that WDW 2007 is happening. Must try to get there, but riding from northern part of Norway it will be a long trip. Any other norwegians that might want to go to WDW 2007?

Carissimo Chicco, come già sottolineato da altri piloti del Desmo-Challenge, sarebbe davvero un sogno per noi poter disputare una gara del Trofeo in occasione del WDW 2007. Noi piloti vivremmo l’evento in un contesto particolare, ma credo che la cosa possa valere anche per gli spettatori, che potrebbero così vedere all’opera i gioielli di Borgo Panigale nel loro habitat naturale.

Accidenti….qualcuno sa dirmi dove andare a pernottare per il WDW? Sto’ già cercando fra i vari alberghi e aspetto risposte…qualcuno ha qualche idea in proposito, visto che sarà la prima volta per me e mio marito.
Inoltre c’è da pagare un biglietto per entrare o è gratis???

Cosa devo dirvi…STO GIA’ facendo il conto alla rovescia,,il primo anno mi e venuta una colica renale 2 gorni prima ma sono VENUTO UGUALMENTE con la febbre, il secondo MOMENTI NON MI SEPARO DOPO UN MESE DI MATRIMONIO ma non potevo mancare con la mia SUPERSPORT TRICILORE..anzi sara’ meglio chje vado giu nel box a farle schirire la voce che e gia’ una settimana che non canta.

spero che gli organizzatori ripropongano la cena con tutti i partecipanti sulla pit-lane.mi raccomando poi non deludeteci con l’estetica della maglietta compresa nel biglietto(mi piacerebbe tipo quella del 2002,mitica!!!!!!).piu’ gadget per tutti !!!!.poi ……ma quando lo fate uscire il”nuovo monster”????????.non vedo l’ora di comprarlo!!!!.grazie x avercelo ripristinato un saluto a tutti i ducatisti e forza DUCATI x il 2007!!!! ciao da cevo e moni

la gara delle special…aperta a tutti,come nel 2002 (foto,gara di sound,tutto pubblicato su internet) non come nel 2004 (solo le migliori),molti di noi partecipano anche solo per divertimento.

No having had a previous opportunity to attend a WDW I`m asking questions just as thy come into my hear ;-(( or is it ;-)).

I`ll be arriving the 27th June hoping to be able to get a DRE class or 2. Will I have to bring my hekmet from South Afvrica or will one be supplied on the day?

Buongiorno: io il WDW2004 l’ho saltato per motivi di lavoro: i precedenti altri li ho visti tutti. Per favore, se non è già stato fatto, provvedete ad asfaltare quel breve sentiero che si percorreva per uscire dal piazzale dell’autodromo: era polveroso da spavento!! Ciao e grazie.

Un evento nell’ evento. Mi piacerebbe che una tappa del Ducati Desmo Challenge si svolgesse all’ interno del WDW, aumentare le attrazioni peril pubblico e coloro che non conoscono il nostro campionato, sicuramente non sara’ semplice ma si potrerbbe provare ugualmente.

Ho partecipato a tutti i wdw e ogni volta i costi levitano in maniera esponenziale, senza contare che conviene mangiare al ristorante piuttosto che alle bancarelle all’interno. penso che i ns tagliandi siano suff a sovvenzionare il ns desiderio.ps DOCCE NEBULIZZATORI PER IL CALDO.

Richieste/suggerimenti da parte di mia moglie: un parcheggio riservato alle ragazze, una via d’uscita piú agevole al posto della solita “gimcana” sterrata, la possibilitá di prenotare in anticipo presso gli Stores i corsi di guida.

proporrei un area destinata al monster,dopo tutto sono 14 anni che la ducati vive soprattutto su una moto che ormai è diventato un mito come lo scrambler.
è magari un concorso come moto piu’ originale.
ma senza guardare sempre chi ci spende dei capitali ma chi come me si è fatto una piccola special con gli amici in un garage.

turni in pista più facili da prenotare….senza resse all’entrata e file interminabili che portano via mattinate intere….sarebbe meglio fare corsi e prove su prenotazioni all’acquisto del biglietto come già consigliato.

Prove dei nuovi modelli e turni liberi in pista ma SOLO con prenotazione su internet per poter sapere il proprio turno. Altrimenti bisogna stare in tuta tutto il giorno e in coda per prenotarsi. Ricordatevi che è estate!!! Vogliamo esagerare? Corso DRE durante il WDW.(all’ inizio o alla fine per non intralciare troppo). I turni liberi in pista, non sarebbero male con suddivisione dei modelli: superbike e supersport, monster e MTS ecc…. Infine, i VIPS che nel 2004 si sono divertiti a girare con le auto farebbero bene a stare a casa o a venire in moto!!

Sono stato al WDW nel 2000 ,per fare il biglietto e per andare in pista era una “guerra”,penso che bisognerebbe fare in modo di non vivere più queste situazioni veramente disagevoli che creano anche risse e bisticci tra noi partecipanti.Gradirei molto che certi commenti venissero prima detti in ITALIANO e poi in altre lingue giustamente….Grazie.Ci vediamo al WDW:

WDW2007 is the highest ranking event for many Ducatisti. Got my first Ducati in June 2004, so I just missed the WDW2004, and have been looking forward to the WDW ever since. Many Ducatisti from far away in Denmark where I live, will go to this Mekka of ours. Getting the oppotunity to see (meet) the great factory drivers is such a great thrill. Bayliss proved once again to be the King - well deserved. Capirossi achievements getting the podium 3rd.is fantastic, despite all the struggle he was sent through - he deserved the podium 1.st. and will for sure be treated like a King at WDW2007.
My wishes for the WDW2007 are plenty of good wheather, plenty of presence of the race teams, SBK and GP - not least the drivers.
Will be any chance to take our Duc’s round the Misano Circuit ?

Molto bella l’idea di Giovanni (post 78) si potrebbe anche fare una cosa leggermente diversa, ovvero una maglietta uguale per tutti con tutte le bandiere dei paesi esteri che hanno un gruppo di (o anche un singolo) partecipanti.

A fer suggetions for 2007 WDW:

Have the Ducati Corse bikes on site along with the riders so we can see the machines up close.

Have a daily raffel where cool Ducati merchandise is raffeled off. Have the grand prize on the last day be a Ducati motorcyle.

Have Ducatis available to rent, both for street riding and for track time.

Have Ducati executives from Engineering, Research, and Marketing speak to us about Ducati’s future.

Have Capirosi and Stoner speak to us and be available to answer questions.

Have the beach filled with Ducati umbrellas so when people fly overhead the beach screams, “Ducati!”

Have lots of umbrella girls on site.

Have a bike show with awards/trophies for catagories in Antigue, Sport Classic, Paso, (needs it’s own catagory, don’t you think?), Modified, SuperSport, SuperBike, and SportTouring.

Have a fashion show with hot Italian women and guys modeling Ducati accessories on the runway.

Bring some Antigue Ducatis from the Ducati museum to WDW so we can see them.

Organize a bus trip to the Ducati factory/museum.

Ensure that vendors don’t gouge us. As Ducatisti, we’re used to paying out the nose, but it would be a nice change if food, beverage and lodging weren’t ridiculously expensive!!!

Recognize my invaluable imput into WDW and fly me to Italy immediately so I can help in the WDW planning!

Leggo con piacere che tanti appassionati vorrebbero una gara del desmochallenge,anche se a dire il vero nelle 3 gare alla quale mi sono recato nel 2006 non ho visto una grande affluenza,ricordatevi però che il ddc tra libere,cronometrate e gara (stringendo i tempi al massimo)si porterà via una giornata,che nel week end andrebbe a scapito delle prove libere.

At last a dream becomes reality, I will be there with my family at the WDW 2007 !!! My monster and I already did the trip from Belgium to Bologna in 2003, in 2004 I couldn’t be present on the WDW. My wishes for the WDW2007 : organized trip to the factory for a second visit (paradise on earth), renting a Ducati (to try something else than my monster) and see riding special Ducati’s (1098 tricolore, MHR, GP’s, WSB’s, etc) together with my favorite Alfa Romeo’s (my second passion such as Brera, Spider, SZ even the 8C Competizone !!!) on the track.

i was sick i missed out wdw last year when it was cancelled, but made a crusade to bologna from scotland last year,returning my bike back to its place of birth,which was great,unfortunately mcn publisized wdw2007 as running from june 19th to 1st of july.i will also miss it this year as our ferry home is 29th june.my question is is there any pre event before the 28th of june.

Suggerimento: Ragazzi mi raccomando ai prezzi!!! In particolare quelli di ingresso, abbigliamento, accessori e cibo (menù a prezzo fisso!!!!). Non trasformate il WDW in un Business ma fate in modo che sia alla portata di tutti. Specialmente quelli che risparmiano giorno dopo giorno per comprare una Ducati (anche potendosi permettere da subito una Jap).
Un consiglio in particolare per i turni in pista. Date la possibilità di farne di più, ed organizzate le prenotazioni on-line sul sito Ducati. Ci evitereste la ressa del 2002 e del 2004 a 25/30 gradi al sole!!!!

these events just get better and better each time. the feeling of tribal community @ wdw is something one needs to experience firsthand to fully appreciate … and once you do experience it, you keep coming back. it is very addictive being a ducatisti ;-)

Non si ptrebbe creare un motore potente come quello che fate oggi ma che sfrutti tecnologie non inquinanti? Qualcosa che elimini gli effetti del CO2 prodotto dalla combustione della benzina, ma che non ci tolga il meraviglioso piacere di stare su una ducati? Sarebbe una sfida che mi piacerebbe vedervi vincere nel successivo WDW. :)

Me and my Duc-buddy Mike The Mad Germaner arrive on our 999ers on 27th June and leave on 2nd July. Just like my fellow countryman Esben Sørensen I have high anticipations to the WDW 2007 and I hope to take a DRE. My biggest wish is to kiss the toe sliders on Troy Bayliss’ boots and have the opportunity to corner in the sparks behind him around the Misano Court. nessuno sa quando e dove ci siano piu’ notizie dettagliate esempio alberghi ,prezzi ,come prenotare l’entrata ecc….visto che sono a 600 km dall’italia e la moto è in italia devo organizzarmi per fare il tagliando alla mia piccola,cercare il volo x me e x la prima volta la mia famiglia ecc…allora queste magliette si faranno!!!anche perche’ quelle dell’edizione passata nn ci entro piu’ percio’ taglie abbondanti come 3xl obrigado

possibilità di prenotare un turno in pista direttamente all’atto della prenotazione dei biglietti e non direttamente all’autodromo come è accaduto per i passati anni in cui io non sono mai pouta scendere in pista per mancanza di disponibilità di posti (nonostante sia sempre stata tra le prime ad acquistare i biglietti on-line per tutte le edizioni 1998-2000-2002 e 2004) quando c’era qualcuno che chissà come è riuscito a girare anche più di due volte……………………….in più aggiungere come diversivo(come è stato fatto per la festa ducati tenutasi al santa monica la scorsa stagione)una piccola pista di mini-moto e mini-supermotard.

perchè non prendete in cosiderazione la possibilità di organizare un WDW anche al sud in modo tale da dare la possibilità anche a tutti gli appassionati che non riescono a raggiungervi in quel di misano?
magari anche in un altro periodo o anche durante gli anni pari in modo da non accavallarsi con la manifestazione di Misano.

Ciao a tutti,credo sia molto interessante ed utile la presenza come nel 2004 dell’assistenza meccanica,si sa che fuori casa qualcosa puo sempre capitare ed avere un assistenza in circuito dalla casa madre eviterebbe al povero ducatista forestiero di farsi pelare da qualche meccanico troppo esoso che si approfitta del momento,tale assistenza però deve comprendere anche l’intero ultimo giorno di manifestazione,per esperienza personale mi si è rotta la catena durante la parata finale del 2004 e non ho avuto nessun aiuto dall’assistenza ducati al circuito perche i meccanici se ne erano già andati tutti,meno male che per arrivare dalla liguria con gli amici avevamo affittato un furgone,altrimenti sarei dovuto rimanere ancora a misano perdendo giorni di lavoro aspettando che aprissero le officine.

x simon,post 126,non ti preoccupare,se mamma ducati farà come le altre volte,uscirà il bando di iscrizione on line sul sito del wdw oppure lo potrai trovare in un qualsiasi concessionario ducati,compilando tale bando e facendo un bonifico bancario i pass per te e la tua moto ti arriveranno direttamente a casa,altrimenti potrai fare direttamente l’iscrizione a misano senza problemi.

as most of the coming people will deserve the Ducati myth and participating to the great missa in the V-twin Mecqua, it would be great that each participant returns home with a commemorative memory. Something special stating “I was there”… and would return.

Sarebbe utile fare in modo di non creare più una calca assurda come quella della scorsa edizione per poter girare in pista.

Ah proposito di pista…bello investire una grossa somma di denaro per una moto….spararsi 400 km per arrivare…e vedere in pista girare tante giapponesi…mentre tanti ducatisti fermi perchè non c’era più posto…DUCATI..NO COMMENT!!!!

ciao a tutti anche io ho partecipato all’edezione 2004..i prezzi dovrebbero essere uguali alla scorsa edizione 50 euro duca 70 euro non duca. sto aspettando inpazientemente anche io e non vedo l’ora di prenotare,sono di bergamo se c’e qualcuno che si accoda con me e miei soci saremo veramente felici. anche claudio visto che ho letto il tuo mess ci vediamo a misano

Confermo che i prezzi di iscrizione al wdw saranno di 40 euro per i soci D.O.C.qualunque moto essi possiedanno e include tutte le giornate da 1 a 4.(chi può andare è molto conveniente dal giovedì) ciao

Hi there,

all of us are quite interested in to know what we may have to pay for the voucher. Unfortunately you are not publicize it till now. Nevertheless there are some ideas I would like to share with you:

1) Guided tours -free of charge- in WDW 2004 have been very fascinating. It had given the opportunity to get to know some of the participants from different countries but also the area around Rimini better. I enjoyed it pretty much. Please invite the company who organized these again!

2) The organization of the event at all needs to be improved. What`s about a band in the evening and a huge tent with i.e. “House” an other electronic music?

3) Varity of food and drinks but also pricing were in need to improve.Reduce pricing to an acceptable level and offer more italian food. Maybe there is a catering service available?

4) To have a really DUCATI feeling it would be great to arrange different meeting points; ie. in Italy, UK, Germany, France, Spain,….etc..every day- starting already on June 23th at a definite time without commitment where everybody can go there to meet other participants who intend also to go to Misano and who have the same objective. It will be then like a snake trough and in all countries with DUCATI sounds and vibrations.

I have so many ideas and would be pleased to see also from you NOW actions.

There is something to celebrate? Then let`s do!

As a Canadian Ducatist just wondering if when you will ever bring the DRE to North America. Here in Toronto you can see a Ducati at just about every major parking lot, the monster and the 998 are very popular. We are really missing out on the whole experience and getting to Europe on a regular basis is a little difficult. Thanks
